This playbook is a living document — check back after every ActiveCampaign release.

This playbook exists so your Active Intelligence content never falls out of date. Check back here whenever ActiveCampaign ships a new release — you'll always find the latest naming, features, and approved language up top, with older releases preserved further in for reference.

Update cadence: This playbook is refreshed for every release, major or minor. Major releases (like this one) also get a callout in the quarterly affiliate newsletter. Minor releases are announced via PartnerStack. If you only skim one thing after a launch, skim this doc.

Every release section follows the same shape, so you can scan quickly:

Active Intelligence Active Intelligence 3.0: Wavelength Current

Launched August 26, 2026  |  Approved external name: Active Intelligence 3.0: Wavelength

The one-liner: The only marketing platform that's actually on your Wavelength. Active Intelligence 3.0: Wavelength understands your business well enough to turn that knowledge into engagement before you even ask.

The story, in plain terms

Wavelength is Active Intelligence's first named release — the moment the AI platform gets an identity of its own. Where earlier updates made AI output better, Wavelength changes when it shows up. It's grounded in a business's account history, automations, performance patterns, and brand voice, so it can surface the right move before a marketer goes looking for it.

Think of it in three beats: Wavelength knows the account deeply, acts proactively through drafts, monitoring, and recommendations, and helps the business engage its audience more effectively as a result. It's not a faster way to do the same manual work — it's AI that works without being asked.

Naming & Wording

Renamed and retired items, plus the rules for referring to this release externally.

Renamed & Transitioning

WasNowWhat to do in your content
AI Prompt Block AI Actions Library Find/replace the old name anywhere it appears — it's a rename plus an update, not just a label change.
AI Activities Deprecated/sunset; usage moving into Premium AI credits If you've described "AI Activities" as a standalone feature, note that it's being deprecated — usage is migrating into the Premium AI credit framework, and that migration is still in progress.
Active Intelligence 2.8 Fallback / base experience 2.8 isn't gone — it's now the baseline experience customers fall back to. Frame it as "superseded," not "discontinued."

Naming Rules

Use

  • Active Intelligence 3.0: Wavelength — the full, approved name
  • Active Intelligence alone, when referring to the overall AI platform

Don't Use

  • "Wavelength" alone
  • "Wavelength 3.0" alone
  • "V3"
  • "AI plan"
  • "The latest Active Intelligence update" as a substitute name

Wavelength is a named release identity, not an internal codename — but it should always be paired with "Active Intelligence" in external copy. If any of your existing articles use the older phrasing "Active Intelligence Wavelength 3.0," update it to the current approved order: "Active Intelligence 3.0: Wavelength."

Say / Don't Say

Keep your copy inside the approved positioning.

Lean Into

  • Wavelength's edge is account depth — it's tuned to one specific business, not a generic model
  • This is proactive intelligence, not a faster way to do the same manual work
  • Results and engagement, not time saved, is the headline benefit

Avoid

  • Claiming Wavelength predicts customer behavior or purchase intent
  • Leading with time savings as the primary benefit
  • Calling competitors' AI "generic" or "off-brand"
  • Leading with Premium AI credits or pricing mechanics

Short (X / LinkedIn)
ActiveCampaign just launched Active Intelligence 3.0: Wavelength — AI that knows a business well enough to act before anyone asks. Proactive drafts, automation monitoring, and real-time external signals, all built from account history, not generic best practices. Worth a look: [affiliate link]
Medium (LinkedIn / Newsletter)
Active Intelligence 3.0: Wavelength is ActiveCampaign's first named AI release, and the shift is bigger than a feature update. Instead of waiting for a prompt, Wavelength drafts campaigns, watches automations for breakage, and brings in outside signals like competitor moves and industry trends — all grounded in what's already worked for that specific account. For any audience evaluating AI marketing tools, this is worth covering: [affiliate link]

Reference

Glossary

The evergreen reference for how these terms relate — useful any time you're writing about Active Intelligence, regardless of which release is current.

TermWhat it means
Active Intelligence The umbrella AI platform that powers every ActiveCampaign account. Never a product name customers "upgrade to" — it's the base layer everything runs on.
Active Intelligence 3.0: Wavelength The current premium, named release of Active Intelligence — proactive, autonomous, and grounded in deep account context.
Premium AI credits The unit that measures usage of Wavelength-tier outputs. Frame as a benefit of the plan, not a restriction — never lead with credits in customer-facing copy.
